Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
=> At this time, we are not accepting new clients through BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS). Due to recent changes in clinician availability and insurance participation. Right now, we are only offering private-pay services. This allows us to maintain continuity of care and provide the best possible therapeutic experience for the families we serve.
What forms of payment are accepted?
=> We accept cash, check debit/credit cards and FSA/HSA cards.
How can I plan ahead for therapy costs?
=> In compliance with the No Surprises Act (P.L. 116-260), Tiny Seeds Therapy will provide a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) to all private pay clients. This serves as a best judgement of the estimated cost of care based on a client’s projected plan of care prior to initiation of services.
Is an evaluation required prior to services?
=> Yes, your child will need to participate in an initial assessment/evaluation in order to develop a treatment plan. However, if your child has a recent IEP or outside evaluation, we can review that and determine next steps.
what makes your reading intervention services different from tutoring?
=>Our reading intervention services are designed and delivered by an SLP with specialized training in evidence-based, structured literacy approaches. This means we are aren’t just practicing reading as a tutor may do, we are identifying and treating any underlying language and processing challenges that may get in the way of successful reading. While traditional tutors may focus on homework or grade-level practice, our approach targets the foundational skills that may be lacking or missing so your child can be a confident and independent reader.
My child receives speech and language therapy in the public schools, will you be working on the same skills?
=> The approach may vary. Our objectives and care plans are formulated in response to the assessment outcomes. Depending on the specific requirements of the child, certain skills might be more effectively addressed within the school environment, especially some social skills, as private therapy is typically one-on-one. Nonetheless, we are keen to establish a collaborative partnership with your child's school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, facilitating discussions on progress, treatment strategies, and more.
